My Bravia stopped working after 18 months of use. I took in a repair shop and found some of the components went wrong, but the cost of repair would exceed a new TV. The problem was not caused by a power surge or any other likely culprit according to my electronic devices repairer. Just good old fashioned bad bill. I expected more of a Sony.
Otherwise, auto-dark opaque quoted by another poster was very boring and not lose.

Fantastic TV. Sharpness and stunning colors. Shipping from Amazon was quick and courteous - were removed from the window, moved my old TV for me and make it up. Everything is perfect. The only reason I give the fifth star is the sound is good but not exceptional. And when I tried to connect my home theater speakers, I ran into a problem. I can either in production of its 5 channels from the source via cable or DVD / Blu-ray source, but not both. It makes little sense to me, maybe I'm wrong. But apart from that it was an exceptional value from Amazon.

Looking at the range of outdoor home cinema essentials, these are the combinations suggested:
Movie source - DVD player, computer, Blu-ray or HD DVD player
Projector - High lumen projector with built in speakers
Screen - Either an enormous wall (painted white), or a rolled up or blow up screen
Alternatively
Movie source - DVD player, computer, Blu-ray or HD DVD player
Projector - High lumen projector
Amplifier and Speakers - either an amplifier and pair of speakers or a pair of speakers suitable specifically for outdoors, with more impressive volume levels than those of a set built into a projector.
Screen - Massive white painted wall, with a roll-up/pull down or blow up screen.

Best time to buy - until October 10, 2009 Get TV $ 1239 before taxes and free of charge service white glove Plus Blu-ray HD DVD (retail $ 299). I just came free Blu-ray DVD.
Hum problem - I just got my TV a few days ago, and there is absolutely no buzz, which was my main interest in this purchase. I ordered a TV on September 27, 2009 and the firmware loaded on television was concluded in July 2009 (version 1011). Amazon just filling up before I ordered this TV. I waited to order a new version of this TV does not seem to suffer the problem hum.
