Is it Worth Buying Blu-ray?
Blu-ray, also known as Blu-ray Disc (BD), is the name of the next-generation optical disc format jointly by the Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA) developed.
While current optical disc technologies such as DVD, DVD ± R, DVD ± RW and DVD-RAM is on a red laser to read and leave data, write the new format uses a blue-violet laser instead, hence the name Blu-ray.
Blu-ray is currently supported by over 200 of the world's leading consumer electronics support, computer, recording media, videoPlay and music groups. The format also has support from major Hollywood studios and countless smaller studios as a successor to today's DVD format. Many studios have also announced that it is releasing new feature films on Blu-ray Disc day and date with DVD, as well as a continuous slate catalog titles every month, starting when it is possible to fit more data onto the disc, although it is accommodate the same size as a CD / DVD, a single-layer disc can hold 25 GB and a dual-layer disc can50GB.
You need an Internet connection for basic playback of Blu-ray movies. The Internet connection is required only for value added features such as the downloading of new equipment and watched the latest film trailers, web browsing, etc. It will also be required to managed copies of Blu-ray films to be transferred over a home network may authorize.
So why should Blu-ray to obtain, and the simple answer is HDTV. If you've ever seen high-definition (HD) video on an HDTV,then you know how incredibly sharp the picture is and how vibrant the colors are. In fact, HD offers five times the amount of detail compared to standard definition (SD).
Blu-ray devices range from $ 120 to $ 500 But you can always buy them at wholesale prices and save much money, so this is a safe option if you went to buy on Blu-ray because it would not take a big gamble with your money.
