It’s becoming increasingly well known that high-definition TV sets such as the 50-Inch 1080p HDTV are more capable of providing a greater viewing experience when compared to their LCD TV counterparts. Such superior qualities of a TV over an LCD TV is often sharper images, stronger contrast, more vibrant colors, a significantly faster refresh rate, and a virtually lossless picture regardless of viewing angle. The downside to most modern high-definition televisions would likely be the amount of energy they consume. Fortunately for you, the 50-Inch 1080p HDTV is ENERGY STAR certified, meaning that it only consumes an estimated 50% of the amount of energy that’s spent on most high-definition televisions, and more impressively, doing so without sacrificing any of the impressively fluid and sharp picture quality that TV units are known for.

While a bit pricey considering the cost of others in this particular market segment, it is quite well made and has an outstanding picture! Controls on both the set and the remote are reasonable. From opening the box to fully connected (antenna & blu-ray player) and operating was about 15 minutes (...  Read more reviews
